OPĆINA CIVLJANE

The municipality of Civljane unit is the local Government of the Republic of Croatia in the composition of the Šibenik-Knin County. The municipality has 104 km2 of the surface with sparse infrastructure is partly leaning on Vrliku and Sinj, and on the other hand, as a "periphery" Knin. It is located on an important road Zagreb-Split. It is a scarce economic capacity. Area of the municipality is characterized by high mountains and hilly country, which exceed in the plateau and rocky fields and the Valley of the river. By reducing the number of the Fund and reduced harvesting of forests over the last decade there's been a recovery of forest area. Fertile ground is located next to the river Cetina, and especially they are significant sources of the River as a hydrological natural monument. Sources of the Cetina River belong to the most beautiful karst springs in Croatia. Beautiful natural landscapes and architectural heritage (significantly destroyed wars) make a functional unity. In the space of the community are a series of valuable archaeological sites and monuments of culture: archaeological zone hot Cetina, prehistoric, ancient and medieval necropolis, rural units, economic structures (mills) and an exceptionally significant sacral buildings.
