TURISTIČKA ZAJEDNICA GRADA ŠIBENIKA

Šibenik is located in the central part of the Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea, in the picturesque, indented Bay in the river Krka, one of the most beautiful Croatian Karst River. Today Šibenik administrative-political, economic, social and cultural centre of Sibenik-Knin County that stretches along the coast of Zadar and split of part of the littoral in length about 100 km, while its hinterland reaches all the way to Dinara, the remote 45 km. Šibenik-Knin County in an area of 1860 km2 includes the insular and coastal part of the hinterland. The insular part of the Šibenik-Knin County make up 242 Islands, islets and reefs above-sea. The archipelago is predominantly located in the northwestern part of the Šibenik archipelago, according to fields and low densely populated-in the Šibenik area there are only 10 settlements. The most numerous Kornati island group is known for its bizarre shape and gorgeous natural beauty.
